Meet the Team

The Board

Louisa Copeland (BHlthScN, MA)

Louisa graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science as a Registered Nurse in 2004 and also with a Masters of Arts in Theology in 2016. Louisa has been working in The Emergency Department at Westmead Hospital for the past 16 years. Louisa has also volunteered with the Australian Rescue Mission (ARMS) having being deployed overseas to Samoa after a natural disaster impacted the small island nation. Louisa, together with her husband are Directors of Disability Agency, Healthcare Request, specialising in Healthcare Support staff for Disability, Mental Health, Nursing and Aged Care sectors.
Louisa has been a board member of Hands and Feet since September 2019.

Ross Bunyon AM (B Comm) – Chairman

Ross Bunyon, AM has extensive business and Board experience gained across a variety of senior executive and board positions. Ross was previously Chairman of RailCorp NSW, Eraring Energy, Pacific Western, Turner & Townsend Pty Ltd, and ICSGlobal and Green’s Foods. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of Pacific Power and a senior executive at Smorgon Steel responsible for the successful disposal of a large number of non-core assets. Ross continues to be a Non-executive Director of several private companies. Ross attends Allawah Community Church and is Chairman of Stewards Foundation and CCM. He is committed to seeing a strong and vibrant network of churches across Australia and being more effective in ministry. Ross has a heart for helping people in need and has recently visited a number of countries helping mission organisations streamline their ministry allowing them to provide a sustainable model in a culturally relevant way within their communities. He is married with 3 Children and 8 grandchildren.

David Smith (B Bus, B Min, MA (Th), DTh (Cand))

David, currently the Principal of Perth Bible College, has a background in a variety of business, pastoral and teaching roles. He is involved in leadership, training, preaching and overseas mission, having a heart for people to be gripped by God’s grace and equipped for a life of passionate service. In his capacity as Principal, David lectures in the fields of Pastoral Ministry, Leadership, Preaching, Theology and Hermeneutics. Cross culturally, he has been involved in leading short term mission teams and in leading Pastor’s Conferences in Cambodia since 2008. Nationally, he serves on the board of Emmaus Bible College and Chairs the Board of the Christian Community Churches of Australia. David together his wife Judy and their 3 children attend Duncraig Christian Fellowship, Perth, Western Australia, where David has a teaching role and also serves as an elder.

Dr Len Smith (EdD, MEd, MA, GradDipTheol, BEd, DipTeach AERA, MAICD)

Len is Principal of Emmaus Bible College. He has qualifications in Engineering, Teaching and Theology. He is a Board Member of The Australian College of Christian Studies, Lutanda Children’s Services and The Sydney College of Divinity. Len has travelled extensively assessing and helping mission groups in countries around the world develop sustainable mission goals. He has taken groups of students to these mission opportunities and helped them learn and understand what mission is and what is and isn’t helpful when working across cultures. Len and his wife Merilyn are members of Botany Bay Community Church.

Brad Scott (BE(Hons)) – Secretary

Brad is the Secretary of NSW Co-Ordinating Conference and Secretary of the Christian Community Churches in NSW. He is passionate about the local church and its role in our communities. Brad and his wife Annette attend Kings Park Community Church. Brad has in the past run his own engineering consultancy, Scott Tech Consulting, offering structural and civil engineering solutions to the public. Brad now splits his time between administering CCCAust(NSW) duties 1 day a week and administering Hands and Feet Inc 3 days a week.

Rob Knott (BE, MAICD, FIEAust)

Rob is the Chairman of GHD Group, a global employee owned professional services company with more than 10,000 employees and annual revenues exceeding AUD 1.9 Bn.  He has served as a director of board of the group since 2009, serving on strategy and audit committees and as chair of the risk committee.   Rob’s experience spans more than 30 years in project management and engineering consulting, delivering major water and transport infrastructure, defence, telecommunications and property and building projects.  More recently he was General Manager Asia Pacific, responsible for GHDs operations in China, South East Asia, New Zealand and South America.

Rob has a passion to contribute to sustainable ways to support others through inclusion, personal development and business enterprise.   He has completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.

Gordon Cowell – Vice Chairman

Gordon has 41 years of experience in retail and wholesale management. He has been involved in the management of an agricultural machinery spare parts division. He has spent 10 years in Business Management, Financial Management, training of Nationals in retail and wholesale management in Papua New Guinea. On returning to Australia he was responsible for the management of five retail shops in Queensland for five years.
In 1989 he set up and managed a wholesale distribution warehouse for the importing of books and gifts for distribution to Christian Book Stores throughout Australia. Gordon retired from this position in 2014 but continues to manage a Not-for-Profit Trust. Chair of AMT- Support for overseas missionaries

Joshua Groenestyn

Joshua is the managing director of Sydney Packaging PTY LTD, a business that employs upward of 40 employees.  Sydney Packaging have been active participants in employment development programs with the aim of training and equipping the disabled for everyday life. Joshua has 20 years’ experience in community camping for all ages and has attended and run annual leader training for camp leaders in this time.

The Staff

Titilia Brown – Community Care Coordinator

Titilia has been with Hands & Feet from the very beginning, she manages the food distribution to both our City Care program and to our Community Care distribution centres. She also manages our volunteer drivers and encourages our churches in their community care work.

Titilia has experience in the Newspaper Industry in classifieds advertising, Security Industry, control room operations, Banking, customer service, Disability Industry, support worker, Aged Home Care, client support, Residential Aged Care where she held and functioned in a variety of roles beginning with nursing staff, RAO (recreational activities officer), ACFI Officer (aged care funding instrument) and Admin Officer (admissions and discharge).

Isaac Opio – Warehouse Manager

Isaac manages our warehouse along with the work for dole and volunteer teams that come in each day. He works hard all day, keeping us all on schedule, sorting food, packing & unpacking trucks, cleaning up and all with a massive smile on his face.

Reuben Torrance – NDIS Coordinator

Reuben has been brought onto the Hands & Feet team to start up and develop the NDIS program. He has a passion to help people with disabilities to reach their full potential through our NDIS program and our camping program.

He has over 3 years of experience as a support worker with Northcott and has been volunteering with Lutanda’s Camp Jonathan for 10 years. He also has a Bachelor of Arts from Western Sydney University.
