There are a growing number of families and people who don’t have enough money to buy sufficient food to serve at their table from week to week, like single mums who can only afford one decent meal a week, like aged people who just can’t afford a good healthy meal very often. Children are at risk of being undernourished and their future is not looking very bright. Hands and Feet provide vegetables, fruit, hampers, canned and packaged food, drinks, bottled water and milk when available, to families and people in need through local churches who make it available to their surrounding community at no cost!

This is a tried and true way for churches to reach out to their local community. Hands and Feet will deliver food hampers to your church each week. All your church needs are some volunteers for a few hours one afternoon or evening a week to meet and share the food with those who are going without in your neighbourhood. It’s a great way to show God’s love to people in need and build relationships with the locals in your area. This is how the Hands & Feet Community Care Program works.
■ Hands and Feet will provide food and produce to your church each week, which you then provide to your community at no cost.
■ We will provide a leaflet format for you to use for a local letterbox drop to promote this service in your community.
■ All we need are volunteers at your church to receive the food when it is delivered, then give it away for a few hours one day or night, afternoon or evening that suits you each week.
■ This is a ministry that anyone in your church could be involved in.
Running this program has many rewards and means that your church can meet and connect with new families in your area and create lasting relationships with people in need.
