The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national scheme
for people with disability. It will provide about 460,000 Australians aged under 65 who have permanent and significant disability with support and services.
For many people it will be the first time they will receive the disability support they need and Hands & Feet can supply that help and support.
Hands & Feet also runs a number of holiday camps for children, teens and adults with disabilities.

We need your church to get involved with us.

Hands and Feet needs both individuals and churches to get on board with the NDIS program. The NDIS opportunity is very exciting as it allows church members to get involved and help people with
disability in your community to improve their quality of life.
And your volunteers will be paid by the Government at hourly rates for the services they provide.

Partnering with Hands and Feet to offer NDIS services from your church means that….
– Your church is connecting into the local community
– You can show Christ through your actions
– You can meet people’s needs and show them God’s love
– You can connect people into other services that your church offers
– People young or old in your church can be employed and paid
– 25% of people with disability feel isolated from their community. Together in every case, we
aim to change this statistic. (Psalm 68:5-6 “To the lonely he makes them part of a family.”

How can your church help?

Many people with a disability need assistance to do everyday things that most of us take for granted. Imagine being housebound for instance and not be able to get to the shops or get outside to enjoy the sunshine.

Imagine struggling to clean your house, cook your meals, do the washing, or mow the lawn if you were disabled and restricted in any way.

The opportunity exists through Hands and Feet as an approved and registered provider to supply workers from your church who can help in a number of ways and get paid to do so.

Hands and Feet is asking churches throughout Australia to sign up and help us meet the needs of people that are in your local communities through the NDIS program.
