There are so many ways for young people and men and women of all ages to get involved as a volunteer with Hands & Feet. We need help every week at our warehouses in NSW, QLD, WA, SA, & VIC to sort out the food and make up food packs for distribution to the homeless in our city and to churches to distribute in their local communities.
We need truck drivers to pick up and deliver the food every week and we need helpers in the warehouse to prepare the food ready for distribution. There is so much to be done each week but it’s worth it.
Remember you are never too old to volunteer. We will always find a way for you to help others by helping Hands & Feet.

” Volunteering as a truck driver for Hands and Feet allowed me to connect with other volunteers at the distribution centres where we deliver food. I made friends with all these people and I always looked forward to driving to these churches every week.
I encourage others to come and help volunteer because even helping with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people and organizations in need. Volunteering can benefit you and your family as much as the
cause you choose to help.
Dedicating my time as a volunteer for Hands and Feet helped me make new friends, expanding my network and boosted my social skills. “

Meet Hilary. Food Preparer
” I started volunteering for Hands & Feet 5 years ago making sandwiches on a Friday for the city. Since then I have always been involved with Hands & Feet in some way. I go to the city on a Friday night to give out sandwich packs to our homeless friends and also clothes. I collect clothes, sort them out and bring the suitable ones to the city.
Also during the week I go with hubby Paul (the truck driver) to drop off food to different churches to distribute locally.
I also work in the warehouse sorting out fruits and veg to go to lots of different locations during the week.
I love Hands & Feet and all we do to help people. I love helping the lonely, the homeless and the vulnerable and strangely enough my favourite song of all is “The Streets of London” which is a song about the homeless in London and 40 yrs later I find myself feeding the homeless in Sydney! “
Meet Hazel. Camp Leader
“ I was invited to Camp David back in 2012. I have attended most camps since then, because I have been asked to act as a helper. I recognise the service to those with disability to have a Christian based holiday, and I am happy to support this ministry. If others are available to help, that would be wonderful. I have invited some church friends that may be available, but have not yet found anyone willing and able to contribute yet.
This is a great way to bring joy into the hearts of these amazing people. “
